Grittleton House

The outstanding feature of Gritleton House is its architecture. We’ve seen many beautiful venues, but this one is undoubtedly one of the best in terms of how the actual building looks both inside and outside. The couple that we were shooting the wedding for, the bride was a civil engineer and she chose the venue for its architecture – that’s saying something. The high decorative ceilings, working fireplaces, and (last but not least) sweeping stairwell provide many opportunities for shooting portraits inside. The outside is even better, with a well-maintained garden opposite one of the entrances being a perfect place for family/group shots, or for the couple’s portraits with the venue in the background. The classic look of the grand entrance provides a good spot for a night shot with the couple highlighted; even just a normal day shot there will look classy and timeless.
